MEEMIC Insurance Company specializes in insurance for the educational community. They have several unique features on the home policy including complete replacement coverage, teacher’s liability coverage (also known as corporal punishment) up to $10,000, and the advantage endorsement which can be added for only $35 per year. The advantage endorsement is a nice way to add on a buffet of features for a very low cost. It covers items such as: glass breakage with no deductible, sewer backup of $2000 (subject to the deductible), tree removal up to $1000 with no deductible, and refrigerated contents up to $500 with no deductible. There is also some coverage for personal property off premises and locksmith coverage subject to the policy limitations.
